This paper was prepared for a competition on "Village History" arranged by theĀ Berkshire Federation of Women's Institutes, and the prize was awarded to Milton WI.

The following people gave information, without which it could not have been compiled.

A list of Rectors of the Parish hangs in the Church porch.
