Saint Blaise Primary School

st blaise school milton logoThe summer weather is yet to start but the summer term is well underway. Oak class are busy tinkering with all sorts of machines in their latest topic. Poplar class are learning about their local town Didcot, Willow have gone back in time to the Anglo-Saxon period and Maple are finding out about the River Thames. We have also been preparing for the upcoming summer festival of dance and song – hopefully you will see us at school this week or at the Tadpole Feast in the village.

Charlotte and Rhea helped organise a pet blessing service. Rev Phil supported us – we sang, thought about our pets and celebrated them. At the end of the day Rhea organised a fundraising event – she raised £150 for the RSPCA; well done and thank you to all.

st blaise school milton logo We have had a really enjoyable term. The children have been out and about on trips in the local area, we have also had school visits to classrooms from new born babies, the Rev Phil and a drumming teacher. We always strive to make learning engaging and cross curricular.

Congratulations to our ten year six pupils who have completed their SATs. The children have worked extremely hard and showed great determination and commitment to doing their best.

They wrote persuasive letters to McDonalds to see if we could visit them for lunch after their last day. Their letters worked and we enjoyed a visit where we were very spoilt. Thank you to the staff for making us feel so welcome.
